When I first met Oliver Foo, I was at first sceptical – another book on habit?
This topic has been written and discussed to death!
But why are habits still so difficult to crack?
“Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.”
Warren Buffet used to quip.
However, after reading his recently launched book, “Head to Heart to Habit,” I changed my mind.
This book is NOT just about habits, this is a Leadership Book, because leadership is about leading change and helping people grow.
Leaders themselves also succumb to bad habits, as I’ve recently written about in my article about Leadership Drift.
Therefore, I’m so glad to have sat down with Oliver to geek out over why leading behavioural change is so hard in my latest episode of the ❤️WholeHearted Leadership❤️ Podcast. 🎙️✨
In this episode,
- Oliver explains that wholehearted leadership goes beyond strategies and frameworks—it’s about recognizing and empathizing with the emotional forces that shape individual and team behaviors.
- By aligning leadership with inner values, beliefs, and emotional needs, leaders can create environments where people are motivated to grow and evolve.
- How to shape authentic leadership identity through habits and behavioural change
This episode is packed with insights every leader needs. Whether you’re leading a small team or a whole organization, you’ll discover practical steps to lead with courage, heart, and purpose.
